has been overwhelmed by a record 1 million registrations for its multi-national
game and has now closed registrations for this game. Nokia
Game 2002 is an interactive adventure provided by Nokia that will be
played from 11 to 29 November in nine languages across 25 countries.
During the game, players receive a mission that they must complete
using clues and information provided via the Internet, SMS, chat, interactive
voice response (IVR) calls and mini-movies distributed over the web.
Nokia considers the record breaking number of registrations
a fantastic success. We are thrilled that one million players
have registered to play this years Nokia Game. It has exceeded
our expectations and shows the excitement and community spirit of playing
with people from across Europe and the Middle East, said Pekka
Rantala, Vice President, Marketing Services, Nokia Mobile Phones. We
wish all of the players the best of luck as they try to navigate the
in and outs of the music business: At the
end of the game, the top 10-100 players in each country will each win
a special new Nokia 3650 phone with integrated camera, video player
and camcorder. The winners will be among the first in their region
to own and use this new phone. Although registrations
will no longer be processed for Nokia Game 2002, visitors to the website
can leave their e-mail address to be among the first to know about
future Nokia Game activities. www.nokiagame.com |
